What is nSTRIDE?

nSTRIDE (Autologous Protein Solution - APS) is an innovative therapy designed to treat pain and slow the progression of cartilage degradation in joints affected by osteoarthritis. Unlike traditional treatments, nSTRIDE uses your own blood to create a concentrated solution of beneficial proteins that target the root cause of arthritis pain.

🩸 Autologous Treatment

'Autologous' means 'it comes from you'. By processing a sample of your own blood, we extract and concentrate "good" proteins that have powerful therapeutic effects on osteoarthritis. nSTRIDE is the only autologous anti-inflammatory treatment that targets inflammation and treats the underlying mechanism of joint wear naturally.

nSTRIDE is administered as a single injection and can provide effective pain relief for up to 2-3 years. While originally developed for knees, it can also be used in other joints including hips, ankles, shoulders, and more.

The Science Behind nSTRIDE

In an osteoarthritic joint, inflammatory cytokines ("bad" proteins) outnumber anti-inflammatory cytokines ("good" proteins), causing an imbalance that results in joint pain and cartilage degeneration.

The nSTRIDE treatment introduces high levels of "good" proteins (IL-1ra, sIL-1R, sTNF-RI, and sTNF-RII) that overwhelm and block the inflammatory cytokines (IL-1 and TNFa). This helps restore balance to the joint while also introducing anabolic growth factors (IGF-1 and TGF-β1) for beneficial cartilage health.

Preparing for Your nSTRIDE Treatment

Before the Injection:

  • Stop all anti-inflammatory medications 1 week prior (Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, ASA). Tylenol is okay to take.
  • Avoid high doses of natural anti-inflammatories like turmeric
  • Avoid intense exercises 2 days prior to the procedure
  • Please eat and drink fluids before your appointment
  • Plan to take 4-7 days off from physical activity following the injection

Note: If you take ASA for a medical condition, you may continue taking it. Please discuss this with your doctor during your consultation.
